Canadian Islamic Congress’s weird ‘honor killing’ take on Norway

July 29, 2011 By Kathy Shaidle

From the people who brought you the persecution of Mark Steyn…

The CIC’s belated press release about Norway (besides getting a lot of stuff just plain wrong) predictably “puts the ‘I’ in ‘Islam'” to remind us that, as usual, it’s all about Muslims, and how constantly in danger they are (of somebody finally getting sick of their bullshit.) They imply that Muslims were killed in the attack, when in fact the opposite is true.

Here’s the highlight:

“He has stolen forever from Norway its innocence and good name as a nation devoted to advocating world peace.”

OK, clearly the killer “stole” Norway’s “innocence.” That expression is used all the time to describe profound national traumas like the Kennedy assassination.

But did anyone say that Lee Harvey Oswald also, “stole America’s good name as a nation of laws, where ballots trump bullets”?

Did the Blitz “steal” England’s “good name as a nation devoted to, er, not having its buildings fall down every night”?

No, the sentence sounds odd — but only to Western ears.

It makes perfect sense if you view the world through the lens of Muslim sharia, with its warped sense of “honor.”

So according to the CIC’s subconscious, kneejerk Muslim worldview:

Norway has been raped (which is bad) and in the process has “forever” lost its “good name” (?) — which is somehow a) logical (?) and b) worse.

And remember, everybody: these Muslims are supposed to be the smart ones.
