Toronto public school: ‘Menstruating girls, at the very back, do not take part’

Yep, that’s part of the caption of the Toronto Star photo.

Yes, the country is Canada and the year is 2011.

Meanwhile over 150 Canadian soldiers died in Afghanistan to (ostensibly) fight for the rights and dignity of young Muslim women like these.

Ooops!

Anyway, as you can see at his latest round-up, the story my blogger-husband broke still making news.

PS: halt Muslim immigration to Canada.

UPDATE: last week I introduced some of you to Lowell Green, who is a conservative talk radio legend here in Canada.

Thanks to this blog for providing new audio today. Green once again tackled the mosque-ateria scandal in his own inimitable way.

Vlad writes that at one point during Green’s discussion, it’s explained that Muslims are exempt from a certain bylaw that all other religious groups must obey on (Orleans/Ottawa) city property:

“Why you ask? Why are mosques exempt from the so-many-spots-per-seat rule that city council is so strict about when it comes to any other faith use building?

“Naw. You wouldn’t believe me. You will have to just listen for yourself. Put this in the ‘bad-fiction’ category. Cause if someone made this up, it wouldn’t be believable enough to make for decent writing. The punch line for this is at 41 minutes of this version…”
