Hey, let’s make fun of China for acting like Canada

May 16, 2013 By Kathy Shaidle

Exhibit A: Meet the Chinese ‘censors’ who watch 700 pornographic movies every week

Exhibit B:

“The Ontario Film Review Board screens all adult sex films in accordance with guidelines dealing with areas such as consent, physical abuse, coercion, humiliation, degradation, and so on.  All adult sex films sold or rented in Ontario are required to be reviewed and approved by the OFRB.”

Amusing:

The original three-member Ontario Censor Board, appointed by the Province in 1911, was given extensive powers of censorship.  Scenes of an immoral nature, seduction, infidelity, or the depiction of a crime or a prize fight were just cause to withhold permission for screening a film.  There was also a ban on American flag-waving!

Speaking of China — remind me again why we’re afraid of these losers:

When the Chinese Communist Party’s official newspaper needed a new building for their headquarters, they turned to a professor of architecture, Zhou Qi. Little did they know that Zhou had every intention of building an enormous erect penis of a building. And the best part? Everyone involved should have seen it coming.
