You may not wish to publish these comments as they will only further infuriate the sock puppets and get you in more
trouble.
During the lunch break the various parties came outside and were interviewed by about a dozen media including, TV, radio and
print The people interviewed were Ezra Levant, publisher of the Danish Cartoons, Faisal Joseph the lawyer for the
complainer's who was flow out here from Ontario at the expense of the Muslim community not the BC taxpayer, and the third guy
was media lawyer Jason Gratl for the Canadian Association of Journalists who are intervening in this case - he was very
impressed with Khurrum Awan who was on the stand all afternoon. To me Khurrum Awan came across as a whining baby.
I do not want to cover the same ground as Ezra and Andrew Coyne as they did an excellent summary. A couple of points to
add
1) When Khurrum Awan the sock puppet
complainant mentioned the jurisdiction shopping for places to get at Macleans, he specifically mentioned BC was
considered because of the success in prosecuting Doug Collins, the now departed columnist for the North Shore News. The
infamous Marc Lemire was right when he chastised Macleans in a comment on Coyne's live blog.
2) Khurrum Awan testified that when he and fellow sock puppets went to shakedown Macleans, they were speaking on behalf of
all Muslims,When did
Canadian Muslims have an election to name him their leader?
The experience watching this witch trial is maddening. On the one hand the commissioners constantly said they did not
follow normal rules of evidence or procedure, had not yet decided if they will rule on objective or subjective grounds,
they did not care about jurisdiction, and so forth, yet on the other hand they expect you to rise when they enter and leave
the courtroom like they are judges deserving respect. Most of the bloggers and regular folks such as myself had to
restrain from guffawing and snorting at the absolute stupidity of what was occurring before our eyes.
My biggest beef was as a BC TAXPAYER having to watch a trial conducted by three smirking losers about four Ontario students
who were offended by what they read in a magazine published in Ontario with the primary lawyers being from Ontario. And then
Khurrum Awan mentions Ontario's Five Feet of Fury and TVO as the blogs which caused his sensitive feelings to be hurt. I am
having trouble finding a BC connection here.
were carrying the concerns of the whole community. Yet he provided no
evidence showing he had widespread support other than he said he talked to a few people,
