How does that translate here?

I don’t think it does. First off no elected politician has said that they will try and block Starbucks from opening locations in their jurisdiction based on the coffee chain’s robust support for gay marriage. Secondly, I’m pretty sure most Americans who are that dedicated to gay marriage already go to Starbucks and know the difference between a macchiato and a latte.

Besides being unofficial downtown Toronto AA headquarters, the 24/7 Second Cup “Steps” in Boystown were such a famous gay dude meeting place that they made it into gay male travel guide listings.
