“Early this month, the UN human rights body passed another resolution – this time by a 32 to 0 vote – directing the UN’s own special rapporteur on free speech to report on individuals or media outlets that publicly make negative comments about Islam.
“The reason people like Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant wrote and published what they did was because, like it or not, there’s a problem with Islamic extremism in the word today. It wasn’t Buddhists, Hindus, Christians or Jews who flew jets filled with passengers into New York office towers. Those commiting the vast majority of terrorist bombings in the last decade have not been silent about their motives or beliefs. It is they who have cited their interpretations of Islam as justification for their actions.
