Neal Boortz’s producer Royal Marshall died suddenly last weekend. He was only 43.
Due to caller demand, the show’s tribute to Marshall included “Boo Got Shot,” in which Marshall, a black guy, was called upon to “translate” a girl’s “ghetto” description of a shooting. The clip became an instant talk radio classic.
(Opie and Anthony tried to get some mileage out of it, but when it’s two unfunny white guys, it’s not the same. And they don’t give Marshall credit — white devils!)
