But when has that stopped me before?
So street demonstrations are “extremism”? Not “the absolute bare minimum response a normal citizen should have to the destruction of their culture”?
We have previously identified the symbiotic relationship between far-right extremism and Islamism and think that this event can dismantle the underpinnings of one phenomenon while removing the need for the other phenomenon.
They are insane if they sincerely think their crazy Muslim opposites will now renounce “extremism” too, since they were the ones who started demonstrating in the streets in the first place, thus leading to the creation of the EDL. (Although in fairness that part is likely more of a “see, we told you they wouldn’t” gambit for future use. I hope.)
If the EDL has been taken over by “neo-Nazis,” then by all means renounce it. But how did they let that happen and why not renounce it way sooner?
(And what exactly is a “neo-Nazi” in an age in which using the expression “chink in the armour” is “racist”?)
Also this will be spun as “the EDL renounces violence” but since the EDL never officially sanctioned or encouraged violence, that’s an unfortunate interpretation but unavoidable.
Anyhow, I have a hundred things to do this morning and will obviously keep my eye on this. The Quilliam site has crashed, likely due to a traffic surge.
