Woodstock Ventures, the partnership that controls all things related to the original Woodstock Festival in 1969, has questioned the logo being used for the 2016 Republican Convention.
The gathering is taking place this week in Cleveland and the party’s official logo shows the blue silhouette of an electric guitar with an red elephant walking on the neck. The city’s Falls Communications designed the logo.
Woodstock Ventures calls out the similarity to the dove standing on the neck of a guitar that was the official logo for the Woodstock festival. The guitars are going in two different directions between the two logos.
